What are Team Meeting?

Look in the current weekend for meeting times and locations

Hughes # 8

Each Kairos team is a unique formation.  That is each team is made up of a combination of new members and experiences members.  Many of the experienced members will not have served together on the same team, or on the same team for this unit.

Team meetings are designed to create a spiritual basis for the team and to provide training for those team members who have never served on a Kairos team.  The Kairos manual calls for a total of 10 team meetings, each meeting lasting approximately half a day.  Because of geographical considerations Hughes teams generally have five team meeting that last all day and cover two different topics.

Each meeting has a Scripture that team members are asked to think and pray about and to share their insights at the meeting.  Team meetings also generally contain exercises designed to build skills needed for the weekend, as well as tips for how to conduct yourself in the prison.

The last team meeting (covering two manual meetings) have traditionally been at the support church the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning of the Weekend.

James McFarland will be the rector and the Weekend will be in April 12th.  To submit an application please go to:
