The Hughes Advisory Council has published this page to provide information to team members, potential team members, and anyone who might be interested in Prison Ministry at the Alfred Hughes Unit in Gatesville, Texas.

Our Mission

Using the Three Day Movement (Emmaus, Cursillo, Via de Cristo, Tres Dias, etc.) approach of bringing Christ into the lives of the inmates, we expect to create not just new men in Christ, but missionaries who will transform this prison into the body of Christ

Profile

The Unit Advisory Council is a group of men and women elected to provide a permanent structure for Kairos at Hughes. Some of the functions provided are:

	Unit representative to the Kairos District Board
	Maintain the history of Kairos in the Unit
	Coordinate with the Unit Chaplains
	Coordinate with the Inmate Council
	Maintain the data base of team members
	Maintain the data base of those attending closing
	Select the Rector for future Weekends
